 Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  1. Read these instructions carefully before filling the form.
  2. Limit abstract to 250 words or less.
  3. Write clearly the title (font size 14 pt., Times New Roman) and authors names as it should appear in the abstract and address of the institution.
  4. Abstract should be structured with Background indicating for the reason for the study, Methods used for the study must be clearly described, Results as obtained in this study and Conclusions. Vague statements like will be presented, will be discussed, are not acceptable. Such abstracts shall be rejected / not published.
  5. Abstract should be typed in single space (font size 12 pt., Times New Roman, height 210 by width 148.5cm)
  6. Authors are requested to ensure clarity of presentation of the scientific material in the abstract. Indicating whether oral, poster or video presentation.
  7. References, key words are not to be included in the abstract
  8. Abstract must be submitted online only through the website in the format provided.
  9. Deadline for abstract submission is extended upto 20th November, 2009.
  10. Do not send prints of abstracts by mail.

 

 Guidelines for speakers / presenters

  1. All slide presentations should be made in Microsoft power point 2003/2007 only.

  2. Any fonts or video clips if used which are not a part of the standard MS office CP pack should be included with the Presentation CD and this should be specified to the Audio Visual in charge at the Preview Room well in advance

  3. Videos should be made in AVI , MPEG format

  4. The medium of storage used by the presenters can be CD, DVD, Flash Drive, USB HDD, PCI MCI card. Personal laptops are not permitted

  5. Speakers are advised to keep to the time allotted. For oral presentation (free papers) it is 8 mins presentation and 2 mins for discussion. No more than 15-16 slides can be presented within this time. If video clips are included slides should be reduced appropriately.

  6. All presentation must be preloaded in the "speaker preview room" at least 4 hrs before the session

  7. All early morning presentation should be loaded the previous night

  8. Poster presentations will be electronically displayed. Accepted abstracts may be loaded on USB/ pen drives / CD for easy loading. They will be deleted before the next poster review. Please do not bring hard copies (prints) of your posters.
